Let your AI assistant use MediaHub

Ask Claude or Cursor what's on tonight, or what to watch next — answered from your own server.

1. Create a token

In the MediaHub admin page open Settings → Account → App passwords (Subsonic & Music) and create one. MCP accepts that password — one minted for subsonic, api or mcp is treated the same way. The token is shown once, so copy it there and then.

MCP accepts a token in the Authorization header, or — from a browser already signed in as an admin — the session cookie. It is never accepted in the address: a token in a query string would land in the server's access log and in browser history.
